Quick Sessions for Animals with Short Attention Spans
We all know that pets can be unpredictable and move fast. My photography sessions are also designed to keep up with your pet’s energy, often lasting no more than 15 minutes (we take as long as they need or allow). Despite their usual brevity, I get exceptional results. I know how to capture those fun moments swiftly so there is no room for boredom or restlessness. I’ve also got a pocket full of treats and plenty of toys to keep them entertained.

I know that many pets are super energetic! Regardless of your pet’s energy, my studio environment is a calm place that helps them settle. Great shots come from unexpected places, and I’m always ready to seize those beautiful candid moments of playfulness, curiosity, and everything in between (cross-eyes and cheeky faces included!)

Why Hire a pet photographer?
Pets move fast and it’s hard to capture their personality. A professional pet photographer is very comfortable with animals and knows exactly how to capture the spirit of your beloved pet
By having a calm presence and a unique way of photographing your pets, you get the images of your furry friends that you’ve always wanted.
What do you do with black dogs that don’t usually pop in phots?
We have a variety of coloured backdrops and props to ensure your animal stands out. Black animals are never a problem.
Where does the photoshoot take place?
We have a package which includes photos outside (on location) or at your home.
Our other packages take place at Studio Sorriso at 6825 104 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
How long will it take to get the photo gallery?
We aim to deliver your online gallery to you within two weeks of your photoshoot.
How do I prep my pet for the shoot?
For Dogs, aim to have them groomed a day or two before the shoot (not the same day). Make sure you walk your dog before the session and bring their favourite toy or treat.
For Cats, brush or groom them the same day. Make sure to bring their favourite treat and we can try ours too.
My dog isn’t obedience or leash trained. Will that be a problem?
It’s not a problem. We have lots of techniques to get great photos of your furry friend. We have lots of experience with untrained animals.
What happens if I get sick or the weather is bad?
Just give us a call or email and we will be happy to reschedule your shoot.
Life and weather (and animals) happen and we’re totaly flexible.
Will I be able to share the images on social media?
Absolutely, we provide a set of lower-resolution images that look and work great on social media.
Do you do house calls? My cat/dog don’t travel.
We are happy to meet you at your home where pets are often more comfortable. We see many puppies and older animals in-home. Let us know when you book that you’d prefer an in-home
We can take our time to make them feel comfortable with me when I arrive and get some great shots!
Can I be in the photo shoot too? I’d love to get some photos together
Absolutely! We love capturing the strong connection between you and your pet. There are specific packages that accommodate both of you
How to I purchase a photo shoot?
All packages can be purchased through our Pet Portraits tab.
You’ll need to pay in full prior to the photo shoot.
Will I get to pick my favourite images?
We’ll send you a private online gallery where you can pick your favourite photos. From the gallery, you can download them for sharing on social media or you can pick images and formats to have them printed for you.
